Services We Provide
Evaluation
Springboard Social Planning’s team members have completed a wide range of evaluation projects, including both process and summative evaluations. Many have involved participatory examination of the project’s goals, objectives and activities, demographic and statistical analysis. Input has been obtained from a wide range of stakeholders including program participants, other service providers in the direct task environment, local government, formal (service and sporting clubs, churches, and cultural groups) and informal (local interest) community organisations. The data gathered has been presented in a range of formats, conventional evaluation reports and performance story reports and where needed to enhance partnerships with a range of independent entities, Springboard can offer a set of different processes that can be drawn together in Collaborative Outcomes Reports.
Our evaluations have provided in-depth, reliable bases for strategic planning, valued by a range of clients, including State and Local Governments, health, education and community service organisations.
Community Needs Analysis
Springboard Social Planning’s analysis of community needs has helped contractors identify:
- the changes are occurring in their community;
- the priority problems that need to be addressed and the short and medium solutions that would be most appreciated and considered most effective;
- the people and organisations with whom collaboration is possible to guide the work;
- the processes that could be used to do this.
In the conduct of community needs/social environment assessments, (including the needs of particular sectors in our community such as those with disability, cultural and linguistic diversity and/or Indigenous background), project planning and evaluations, Springboard team members utilize qualitative and participatory research methodologies built from thirteen years of experience in social planning, participatory action research and evaluation in the international development context, and from seven years teaching the subjects of Sociology, Social Policy and Social Research in the Australian tertiary education sector.
Demographic Analysis
Springboard Social Planning's analysis of your demographic profile can draw as relevant, on the data provided by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, commonwealth and state government departments, quasi-government organisations, universities and research bodies. This analysis can compare this data with that collected by key stakeholders in your context. Some of Springboard’s contracts have focussed specifically on demographic analysis but its experience in this area has been extensively utilised in more than 80% of its consultancies.
Strategic and Infrastructure Planning
Springboard Social Planning has also completed consultancies focussed on:
- Community Health and Wellbeing Plans;
- Volunteering;
- Organisational analysis;
- The needs of communities with cultural and linguistic diversity and/or access and equity including those related to socio-economic disadvantage, health, education, disability and family violence; and
- The preparation for funding submissions to state and federal agencies.
